What Agitate collects
Nothing. Agitate has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting service. The app contains no third-party software development kits. The only network traffic is Apple's own App Store purchase and restore for Agitate Pro, handled by iOS; Agitate has no server and makes no network requests of its own.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter stays on your device and in your own iCloud device backups, if you have those turned on: your development processes, steps and presets; your chemistry bottles and their shelf-life dates; your development journal and film-stock library; and your settings and alert preferences.
Agitate stores this data in the app's private container and in an app group shared only between the Agitate app, its Live Activity, and its Apple Watch companion, all on your own devices.
Notifications
Agitate schedules local notifications on your device for inversion and step alerts, and, if you turn them on, for chemistry expiry reminders. These are created and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification service is involved and nothing is sent to a server.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch companion receives your active session from your iPhone over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, directly between your own devices. Nothing passes through a server.
Sharing recipes
If you choose to share a process, Agitate creates an .agitaterecipe file that you send with the standard iOS share sheet to whoever you pick. The file contains only the process you chose to share. Agitate never uploads it anywhere on its own.
Children
Agitate is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
